What is Dog & Co.?
We're glad that you asked! Dog & Co. is a multi-brand retailer offering a curated collection of the best contemporary pet brands.
We prioritize brands creating products with both fashion and function in mind, and carefully select vendor partners who both produce responsibly and price fairly.
Dog & Co. launched as an online store back in 2014, shipping orders from a small studio in an old Brooklyn warehouse.
Over the past 10+ years, Dog & Co. has grown into two brick-and-mortar stores (as well as e-commerce), located in New York City and The Hamptons.
We're an independent, woman-owned/led business, based in New York. Dog & Co. is made up of a small (but mighty!) team of dedicated dog lovers whose curiosity and desire to help fuel our desire to make life with our dogs just a little bit safer, easier, and more fun. We don't carry anything that we wouldn't (or don't already!) use with our own pets.
How can I visit your stores?
We love making friends! Leashed dogs (and their humans) are always welcome at our two brick-and-mortar stores, located in New York City and The Hamptons.

What kind of products do you carry?
At Dog & Co., we are passionate about carrying cool, innovative and intentionally made products that make life with our pups just a little safer, easier, and prettier to look at!
Our buying team works hard to find and source a thoughtful assortment of items that suit dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. We don't carry pet food, or offer any grooming services - instead, we offer a range of collars, leads, harnesses, apparel, accessories, beds, bags, toys, treats, and more.
Our online assortment reflects the products that are stocked at both our NYC and Hamptons shops, along with some online-only specials.
How do I know which size to order for my dog?
As a multi-brand shop, we're proud to carry a wide assortment of designers and brands.
Since each pet brand sizes their line differently, there is no industry-standard size grading in the dog world. One brand's Small is another brand's X-Large (literally!).
While some brands fit long and narrow, others fit short and wide - and since we try to carry something for everyone, it can be tricky to narrow down the best options for your dog.
First, we always suggest measuring your pup and checking the size charts and specs listed for each product on our site - though we know that always isn't always easy.
So we're always happy to help you find the best size for your pup ; please feel free to reach out to our shop team for more personalized size advice. Providing your dog's weight, breed or mix, and age range (puppy or full-grown) is always a great place to start.
Because we help fit dogs daily in our brick-and-mortar stores, our team has tons of experience in fitting even the most awkwardly shaped dogs :)

Do you carry products for cats or other animals?
We do! We stock a selection of contemporary cat products both online and in both of our shops. We also have products that are applicable to both cats and dogs - treats, harnesses, fleeces, etc. Feel free to reach out to our team with any questions!
We don't currently carry any products specific to furry friends beyond cats and dogs, sorry! (Bunny & Co...someday, maybe!)
How do you choose your vendors, and how can I apply?
Our buying team searches long and hard for the best, newest, coolest, safest and most fun products on the market. We make sure that all products that we stock are thoughtfully and responsibly made, well-crafted, and items that we do/would use with all of our own pets. We search the world for lines that go above and beyond to create items that add value to our lives and our shop assortment.
We prioritize independent brands, maker-driven, and fashion-meets-function lines, and prefer to work directly with our vendors.

How much is shipping?
All domestic US orders ship for a flat rate of $6.
Most flat rate orders are shipped via USPS First Class or USPS Ground Advantage, unless an alternate shipping option is selected.
UPS delivery is available at checkout as a calculated rate ; our system will automatically compute and display the ship cost based on the shipping address that you enter and the items that you are ordering (size matters!).
For international orders, we offer several service options. Please note, the DHL eCommerce rate is NOT express ; the system will offer an estimated delivery window (ie, 15-25 business days) based on your shipping address. If you need quicker service, the DHL Express may be a better option.
To get a shipping rate quote for an international (outside the US) order, please put the items in your cart, and move through the checkout process - our system will automatically generate shipping options based on your address and the weight/size of the items selected.
When will my order ship?
Most online orders ship within 1-3 business days of being placed.
The majority of our online orders ship from our NYC and Hamptons stores. We are a small shop - but we work hard to get your order out as quickly as possible! If there is going to be a delay with your order, we will let you know. If you need your order in a rush, please let us know and we'll always do our best to expedite the turnaround time (we'd also suggest selecting an expedited shipping service in these cases).
You will receive an order confirmation as soon as your order has been placed, and you will receive a second email with tracking information as soon as your order has been pulled, packed, and prepared for shipment.
If you order an item that is marked Direct-Ship, Drop-Ship, or a custom item, the turnaround time may vary. Please refer to the product description for more details, or email us at info@shopdogandco.com for questions on timing.
If you are located in the NYC or Hamptons areas, you are also welcome to use our order pick-up option. At checkout, our system will display this option if and where your items are available.
As soon as your pick-up order is ready, you'll receive an email alert. We generally are able to pack and prepare pick-up orders within a couple of hours, but please contact our team by text with any timing or pick-up questions (646.450.8518).
Can I pick up my order at one of your stores?
Yes! We're happy to offer in-store pick-up at checkout.
If you are located in the NYC or Hamptons areas, you are welcome to use our order pick-up option.
As you shop, our website will display the location/s where each item is available for pick-up.
At checkout, our system will then display the in-store pick-up option if and where your items are available.
As soon as your pick-up order is ready, you'll receive an email alert. We generally are able to pack and prepare pick-up orders within a couple of hours, but please contact our team by text with any timing or pick-up questions (646.450.8518).
Once you've received this confirmation email, you're welcome to pick-up your order anytime during our normal business hours. Please make sure to have the name and order number handy for verification. We may require ID to pick up your order.
Do you offer local same-day delivery?
We do! If you are located in the New York City area, you may be eligible for same/next-day local delivery.
If your items and address are eligible, the same-day delivery option will be offered at checkout. Orders placed before noon will deliver same-day, orders placed after noon may deliver the next day.
Alternately, we are happy to assist in an Uber Pick-Up for your order ; to do so, you'll select in-store pick-up at checkout. Once you receive an email from our system confirming that your order is ready, just text to alert us that an Uber is on the way to pick up your order (they'll need your Order number and address for verification).
Do you ship internationally?
We offer weight + size calculated rates for shipments outside the US, via USPS, UPS, DHL or other international carrier.
Please note: that certain items are not available for shipment outside the USA ; a note will be listed on each of these items (beds, tents, treats, etc).
Please note: that additional shipping charges may be due on certain international orders. While we do our best to generate accurate shipping quotes on our website, sometimes large international shipments do require additional freight costs. We will contact you with shipping method options if this is the case.
Please note: that customers outside the US are responsible for all applicable taxes & duties. Most international shipping rate options will include duties - please refer to the options offered at checkout.
Please note: If you reject an order once it has arrived to your destination country, you will not be refunded for the shipping cost when the order is returned to our shop, and return fees assessed by the shipper may be deducted from your order total as well. This is because we have already paid to ship your order, and we will incur additional fees in order to have the goods returned to us if you reject them. As a small business, we cannot assume these costs if you bounce your order.
How will my order be packaged?
DOG & CO. believes in responsible packaging, and makes a point to reuse all like-new packing materials. Whenever possible, we choose eco-friendly & recycled packaging options in order to reduce shipping waste.
What if my order goes missing?
From time to time, an order's tracking information will show as delivered before the package actually arrives.
In this case, the best course of action is to wait 1-2 business days, as the package will usually arrive shortly after. If it does not, please take steps as follows :
1) Contact your local Post Office, UPS, or DHL for additional information first. Your local Post Office/carrier and the shipper will always have the most detailed and updated information on the location of your package. As the shipper, we do not receive updates beyond the tracking information provided.
2) If the shipper does not have any/updated information on the missing package, please contact our customer support team for additional assistance.
What is the your Online Order return policy?
We want you - and your pup! - to be happy with your purchase.
Online (Shipped) orders can be returned for exchange, store credit or refund within 14 days of delivery.
To be eligible for return, each item must be new, unworn and free from hair with original tags and packaging.
To note, we are unable to return or exchange any custom/ized items, treats, grooming items or beds. Please see the complete list of non-returnable goods in the FAQs below.
A pattern of repeated returns, or items returned with visible hair or wear, may result in restocking fees or a denial of return or refund.
You are welcome to return your Online order items to either of our brick-and-mortar shops, or via mail.
To start your eligible by-mail return, please visit our Return Portal (link below). You will need your Order number and email address to start the process.
How can I return my Online Order?
Returning an item is easy! Just visit our Returns Portal within 14 days of delivery with your order number and email to get started.
There, you can initiate your return and choose your preferred method (mail-in or in-store return if available).
For a smooth return, securely pack your new unused items in the original packaging if possible.
Finally, ship your return using the designated carrier or bring it back to a store depending on your chosen method.
What is your In-Store Order return policy?

In-Store Orders can be returned for exchange or Store Credit within 14 days of purchase.
No refunds are offered on In-Store Orders.
Store Credits do not expire, and can be used in-store or online.

How long do I have to return my order?

Which items are NOT ELIGIBLE for return?
Some items are NOT eligible for return, exchange or store credit.
Items that are ineligible for Return include :
• All items marked FINAL SALE (Sale + Clearance items)
• All Grooming Products
• Any Custom Products (customized tags, collars, leads, bowls, etc)
• Any Beds or soft mats
• All Treats
